If you want to penetrate this industry, here's a piece of advice: before anything else, source out your leads, first and foremost. A lot of companies have heavily invested on recycling tools and machineries, only to discover that scrap materials are pretty hard to come by. Hence, they experience a lag on their operations, and this leads to some lost opportunities and perilous losses.

To be successful in this trade, you'd need a constant supply of scrap materials to keep up with the demand - and I must warn you, the demand is consistently huge. Scrap copper is a prized commodity in the metal recycling industry, more so today when there is a big resurgence of interest on this particular metal.

Of course, you'd need some capital to invest on the required machineries that will make recycling possible, but you have to focus on finding recyclable materials first. After all, what will you recycle if you can't garner the necessary supply?
